Hobi baru Ashmal

Semenjak dua menjak ni Ashmal ada dua hobi baru..melukis dan melengkapkan puzzle..

I like it when he's drawing..sebabnye dia akan duduk diam dan fokus dengan lukisan dia..cuma mulut je bising bercerita pasal apa benda yang dia lukis tu..
kat rumah melukis..dalam kereta pun melukis..bagus jugak, at least there's something to occupy him on the way home.. and here are some of his masterpieces...

Yang ni nampak macam ulat..hehe..ataupun salah satu alien ben-10 sebab kat badan ulat tu ada simbol ala-ala Ben-10.. :)

Yang ni pun tak tahu apa yang dia lukis..cute though.. :)

Yang ni katanya dia lukis mama..hehe..siap ada kaler-kaler lagi..

Hobi kedua, melengkapkan puzzle..sekarang ni sangat la obses menyiapkan puzzle-puzzle dia.. balik dari sekolah terus buat puzzle, sebelum tido, bangun tido, sebelum pegi sekolah sambung lagi puzzle tu sampai siap..

Aksi-aksi Ashmal menyiapkan salah satu puzzle game dia.. bersungguh gitu..

And this is his favourite puzzle.. Ben-10.. dah hilang dah 2-3 keping.. macamana tak hilang.. ke sana sini dia punggah puzzle tu.. kadang-kadang tu pegi sekolah pun nak bawak jugak..

CNY & cuti-cuti...

Lagi dua hari nak Chinese New Year.. So Happy Chinese New Year to all my chinese friends.. have the most wonderful and prosperous new year celebration ever!!

Sempena CNY kali ini saya pun tumpang cuti-cuti jugak..hehe.. I'll b on leave for the whole week, seronoknye!! Tambah seronok lagi coz my parents are coming over to spend the week here in KL. Yippie..!! Can't wait for them to be here... :)

Anyway...selamat bercuti-cuti semua...

Tag Peti Sejuk..

Ok..tag ni dah lama sangat2 sebenarnye..hehe... dah dua tahun kalau tak silap.. Josh & Pn.A meng'tag' peti sejuk..tapi sebab dah janji akan jawab jugak tag tu no matter what..so here is my peti sejuk..

Kat depan peti sejuk tu diletakkan fridge magnets..mostly of places that we had visited.. ada jugak yang kawan-kawan bagi souvenir.. tak letak banyak sebab bimbang tak nampak peti sejuk la pulak..huhu..

Anyway..Josh & Pn. A.. ini saje yang saya ingat pasal tag peti sejuk tu..hehe.. Hopefully this post does answer the tag..hehe..

Home sweet home..

Beberapa hari yang lepas (or was it last week?) I promised to blog about our 'new' house.. We moved in last year, in May. Dah lebih setengah tahun kami pindah tapi baru sekarang sempat bercerita di sini.. Nak buat house warming pun belum sempat lagi..

It's not a bungalow nor a semi-D, rumah teres end lot.. Itu saje yang mampu kami miliki buat masa ini.. We are more than content though, Alhamdulillah..

Tak tahu nak cerita apa..letak gambar aje lah.. masih dalam proses deco-deco..hehe.. So here is the living area.. ni masa baru berkemas la,hehe.. it's tremendously hard to maintain our living area in this mode. Ashmal loves to place his toys, books etc. around the area..so, biasa la bila ada budak kecik kat rumah..huhu..

Kat bawah ni..our kitchen.. sekali dengan dining area.. Agak berselerak di sini sebab periuk belanga, pinggan mangkuk tergantung-gantung kat dinding,hehe..Sebab hubby sibuk nak display dia punya collection Tefal, vision & Pyrex.. (bukan banyak pun,huhu..)

And ni gambar tangga..hehe.. tak tahu kenapa nak letak gak gambar ni..hehe..

That's all about our house for now.. So, kawan-kawan..jemput la dtg ke rumah..but please inform at least a day before, to give us a room to turn our house back into this mode..hehe.. takut nanti terkejut tengok Ashmal display mainan-mainan dia lak..hehe..

Online Entrepreneurs..

Sekarang semakin ramai yang cuba2 berbisnes melalui online..which is for me, is a good thing.. Boleh buat side income.. So tumpang hepi la dengan rakan-rakan yang sudah memulakan langkah pertama di bidang perniagaan ni.. So if ada sesiapa yang berminat nak membeli-belah secara online, boleh la melawat link-link yang dah saya letakkan kat bahagian Shoping..Shopping!!

Saje nak tolong kawan-kawan promote kan kedai online dia orang.. :) Hopefully satu hari nanti boleh ikut jejak langkah dia orang lak..hehe...

Sigh...

Sigh..sigh... Keluar pegi kerja pukul 7.30am..Balik rumah pukul 6pm.. Almost 12 hours a day away from my children..minus the hours I spent for dinner, preparing stuffs for the next day and sleeping hours, I have less than 5 hours a day with my family.. [Sighing again..] .. would that make me a bad mommy? :(

Hopefully they will understand somehow..no matter what, I love them more than anything else in the world.. I'd give the whole world to them if I could..

Aktiviti Hujung Tahun

Hari ni dh masuk hari ke-7 Tahun 2010..baru nk bercerita psl aktiviti hujung tahun hr tu..but better late than nothing!! So storynye..My sister n I plan nak buat aktiviti hujung tahun yang agak memorable..pikir punya pikir, last-last kta org pegi Mines..g naik bot, mcm kelakar la pulak kan, tapi itu saje yg boleh buat bila plan dah last2 minit..

Apa-apa pun kami enjoy jugak la naik bot hari tu.. My hubby pada mulanye tak berminat sangat nak naik bot, katanya kalau nak naik bot, balik kampung dia pun boleh naik bot..huhu.. Last-last dia yang paling excited..hehe..



Pemandu bot tu sporting sangat, siap bercerita panjang lebar pasal setiap ceruk tasik yang kita orang visit hari tu..Lebih kurang macam orang yang dayung sampan masa pegi punting kat Cambridge dulu.. Siap bagi extra-minutes kat kami..hehe.. Apa-apa pun misi tercapai untuk buat aktiviti yang memorable di hujung tahun 2009.. Hopefully dalam 2010 ni, kami berjaya la buat percutian keluarga yang sudah bertahun-tahun tertangguh..huhu..

New Obsessions..

Huhu..i guess the title does explain the rest of the story... Oraitt..lately i have become obsess of these two things...tudung & branded baby clothes..ayyooo.. Tudung style kat munawwarah tu..and baju-baju baby yang comel-comel tu..alamakk..

Sgt la mengerikan coz skrg ni dh la ramai yg buat jual2 brg online ni..huhu..so shopping is made easier..can be done just by sitting in front of the computer., pastu tunggu je barang sampai kat depan pintu.. Anyway, they do offer good prices though..which are so very tempting.. [..sigh..sigh..]..

2010..

Tup tap..tup tap..dh masuk 2010 pn kita.. Cepat sungguh masa berlalu.. 2009 terasa sangat cepat berlalu..tak sempat nk bercerita sangat kat blog ni.. Banyak juga perkara yang menarik sepanjang 2009, cuma tak sempat di kongsi di sini.. The best thing in 2009, of course, having the new addition in my family, Aimy Mardhiya.. dah masuk 4 bulan pn skrg ni..

Sometime in June 2009, we moved to our very own house.. i'll blog about our new home one of these days..Insya Allah.. In September 2009, I was promoted jadi lecturer.. Alhamdulillah, setelah penat berjuang di medan Master, akhirnya perjuangan itu membuahkan hasil yang sangat indah..
Many interesting things happened in 2009 but for now itu saje yang sempat dicoretkan di sini.. Apa-apa pun, 2009 had been great, hopefully 2010 would be better..Amin..

H1N1: some tips to share

Wabak H1N1 yang melanda sekarang ni semakin meruncing dan membimbangkan.. so here I have some tips on how to cure/ prevent it.. Receveived it through email from Pn. A this morning.. tak tahu betul ke tak but worth to try..and I thought I should share it here, who knows it might be useful..

1. minum air kelapa muda coz dalam air kelapa muda ada elemen antiviral yang boleh melawan penyakit tersebut.. Insya Allah..
2. minum air jus apple hijau or fresh orange, minum sampai hilang simptom sakit tekak dan demam..

Semoga kita semua akan sentiasa dilindungi daripada epidemik yang merbahaya ini.. Amin..

My Birthday

It's my birthday today..so officially I'm a year older today..and hopefully a year wiser, hehe..

A big thanx to Prof. L sebab sudi menaja a birthday party for me..thank you.. Terima kasih juga buat rakan-rakan ofis yang sudi datang dan sama-sama meraikan hari ini..thank you very much...

The interview

When I'm writing this I just got back from the interview..the interview to convert my current post to a lecturer. I've been waiting for this interview long enough, but since everything went slow with the 'U' where I did my master.. nak keluar result lambat, nak keluar surat senat pun lambat, so kena tunggu agak lama.. sedikit kronologi..

Nov 08 - viva (where I passed with some corrections to be made)
Dec 08 - I handed the corrected version of my thesis to my examiner

Jan 09 - My examiner accepted my thesis and when I went to hand it to my program coordinator, she said I've passed the date for thesis correction submission, while I was then told by the postgraduate center that I had 2 weeks more before the dateline... Why were there two different dates for the thesis correction submission? Just because the miscommunication between the program coordinator and the posgrad center, I had to wait until May 09 before my result was released..that was almost half a year... and then I had to wait for about another month before they produce the senate letter saying that I have finished my study.. Sakit hati bila mengingatkan semua ni, tapi puas hati dapat luahkan kat sini..

Anyway, back to the original story..about the interview.. I waited quite long for this interview.. but then when it actually comes, I friecked out!! Dah la kena buat mock-teaching.. pastu soalan-soalan dalam interview tu sangat la power terutamanya soalan2 daripada TNC .. so rakan-rakan yang akan melalui pengalaman yang sama nanti, be prepared je la..hehe..

Borak-borak pagi isnin..

So..it's monday again.. cepatnye masa berlalu.. rasa macam sekejap sangat weekend, and now I'm back in the office..with a long list of tasks to be done..Hmm.. So what's in the list.. Let see..

- Course structure for 3 new subjects
- The new edition of thesis guideline
- Presentations (on thursday & friday) - need to prepare on both presentations..
- The extended abstract format..(need to finalize it with Pn. F)
- The conference brochure, website, jacquet, badge, name tag, business card.. (sometimes I wonder in which committee I actually belong...?)

Hmm..which one to start first? Nak kena lambung dadu ni..hehe.. I'll just start with any one that I think most interesting first.. Time keje melambak macam ni, it is important to remain happy and calm.. Stress won't help you to settle any of the tasks... kan..?

Anyway, last weekend was really something.. My parents came over and we all (my eldest sis's family, my brother's family, my sis's L family, my family and my parents) gathered up in my eldest sister's place.. we did some makan-makan.. ada pulut durian, ada pulut dgn ikan masin, ada laksa kelantan, ada laksa penang..macam2.. seronok betul...macam raya la pulak..

Dah lama sangat tak dapat peluang untuk berkumpul ramai-ramai macam tu..kecuali masa raya.. Masing-masing sibuk dengan life masing-masing.. sesekali dapat peluang macam ni, rasa sangat berharga.. May this kind of moment come more frequently after this..

Bob the builder?

We just moved in into our new house a month ago..and we got this 'Bob the builder' to help us do some repairing here and there around the house..

Birthday Celebration

Last sunday we had a small and simple party to celebrate Ashmal and Raiesa's birthday (my niece) who is just a week younger than Ashmal. Initially we planned to have a 'real' party to celebrate the birthday boy and girl, but everyone was busy and couldn't really plan for a proper party..and so we ended up with having some makan-makan at my sister's place, just to please the kids.

Of course, Ashmal was very excited.. tengok ajela gambar2 dia kat bawah ni.. Tak sabar2 nak tiup lilin so that he can cut the cake into pieces..

Sempena majlis tu jugak my sister made some 'nasi kerabu'.. sangat la sedap..Boleh buat katering ni..hehe.. Bravo to my sis!!!

Hopefully next year we can have a 'real' party.. some cupcakes with his favourite cartoon characters, some friends and fun games perhaps..

Geramnye..

Pagi td sy pegi le ke ofis pascasiswazah utk ambik surat senat yang dh sy apply last week.. Dah la pegi last week buat sakit hati je.. Kerani dan penolong pendaftarnye not well mannered.. Tanya soalan sikit pn nak melenting..bukan nye nak jawab elok2 orang tanya.. Dah ler penolong pendaftar dia melenting tak tentu pasal, pakai main nk sergah je.. xde tatasusila langsung!!!

Hari ni pegi dengan harapan tinggi menggunung untuk dapatkan surat senat.. Sekeping surat tu je yang sy perlukan untuk tukar status dari penolong pensyarah ke pensyarah... Dah la banyak masa sy terbuang kat 'U' tu disebabkan masalah2 yang tak sepatutnya... Bila sampai ofis tu hampa lagi.. surat tu tak siap lagi.. alasan kerani tu sebab senat baru bersidang le.. nak sambung bersidang le..bila bagitahu result dh keluar kat sistem, dia bagitahu pegawai dia lak takde.. nampak sangat alasan semata2...!!

Bila ditanya bila boleh sy dapat surat tu, dia boleh jawab nanti siap dtg la ambik.. Masya Allah, kenapa la ada orang yg boleh berperangai buruk camni... dia xpaham soalan ke apa? xboleh ke jawab elok2 bagitahu berapa hari lagi boleh ambik ke... bila dh siap dia call ke... Hmmm.. xpaham.. Hari tu dia gak yang bagitahu surat tu dalam 3 hari boleh siap.. Ni dah seminggu, kenapa xsiap lagi kak oiii...

Semalam sy keluar lunch dgn VC upm n TNC ukm... They are very nice, friendly n nothing like kerani dan penolong pendaftar yg sy jumpa tu.. kenapa org yg begitu educated dan begitu tinggi pangkatnye boleh bercakap dengan friendly and well mannered? Tahu menghormati orang lain..

Terbalik pulak dgn kerani dan penolong pendaftar tu yang berlagak bagai nak rak? Besar sangat ke pangkat dia orang sampai dah tak boleh nak menghormati orang lain? Orang2 mcm ni la yang selalu menyusahkan hidup orang lain.. Kita sesama manusia usahla berlagak.. Kita tidak berbeza disisi Dia melainkan melalui amalan kita... Kalau dh sesama insan pn xleh berbaik2..siapa la kita disisi-Nya?

Cerita ceriti..

Dah 2 bulan rupanye since I last updated... dah 2 bulan jugak since balik kampung hari tu... Within that 2 months tu dah 2 kali balik kampung... Early May balik sebab ada konferen kat Kota Bharu..and the second time balik tu sebab ayah sakit.. Alhamdulillah, he's doing well now..

Cepatnye masa berlalu...2 bulan rasa macam sekelip mata je..many things happened..xtau dah nak update yang mana...

This morning result utk master hari tu dh kluar..lega+hepi..tak terkira rasanya.. I'm sure ramai yg dh melaluinya, cuma the feeling might be the same as what I'm feeling at the moment.. Because what I've been through during the completion of my master degree...the two years had been the most difficult period of my life.. It's not the study that had made it difficult..the people, the admininistration... Utk PhD, rsnya tak kan buat kat situ lagi dah..serikk!!! Don't want to describe in detail what I'd gone through..

Apa2 pun rasa sangat2 lega sebab dah berakhir perjuanganku di medan master.. apa yang dah dilalui akan diingati sebagai suatu motivasi utk terus berjuang...
