A great weekend!

Last weekend, we were sort of being 'left out'..so we made other arrangement..which turned out to be even more exciting..hehe.. Pn. A and I travelled to london by train to meet Pn. Sue and her friend K.Zaida..Together, we made plans. Plan 1, on Saturday morning we took a train to Ashford, the world famous factory outlet.

There are about a hundred outlets altogether inside this huge complex, most the branded items (nike, adidas, next, ralph lauren, gap, clark etc.) can be found here with quite a low price compared to what you can get in Oxford Street.. well, that's what I'm told..

Tarraaa..here we are..Asford!! This place is amazing..unfortunately, when we set our eyes on the outlets, none of us remember to take picture of this place, so there's no picture to show of this amazing place.. We spent the whole day shopping, hopping from one store to another.. we don't even have enough time to visit all the stores as we spent more than an hour in one store, especially Pn. Sue..hehe.. Should've seen her shopping, scary!!!

We shopped until the last minute before store is closed. Sayangnye kedai-kedai kat sini tutup awal..anyway, we're end up with handy hands of shopping bags..penat sangat..Tengok ler muka masing2..exausted but content as our plan accomplished successfully, hehe..

Second day @ cambridge

On the second day, there's a symposium being held to discuss about research collaboration between a malaysian agency and cambridge. We attended the symposium, but could not give much attention as we were still tired and adjusting to the time difference..

After the symposium we went to the punting place..this place is even more beautiful than the garden and the park in my previous entry..see for yourself..

I'm gonna try the punting one day..seems enjoyable..hmm..

The arrival day

This picture was taken when we were waiting for our bus to Cambridge. Puan A and I were giving our best post, hehe..this the best post after a 14-hour flight, ok la tu..hehe..
This is the first glimpse that we had of Cambridge as our bus dropped us right in front of the park..beautiful isn't it?
It was very cold when we arrived, perhaps because we are not used to such wheather.
This is where we are going to stay for a month..the Catharine's College. It's the same college where our first prime minister, Tuanku Abdul Rahman stayed during his studies.

Here is another angle of the hostel, a beautiful garden with blooming roses everywhere! What a great scenery..never thought it's going to be this beautiful!!! Nevertheless, even the place this beautiful can not take our minds from home..home sweet home..

Missing home..

Another day passed at Cambridge..It's only been four days in Cambridge and I'm missing home like crazy! Cambridge is beautiful, peaceful and all the good things that you can mention are here..but I can't really enjoy them, because the most precious things in my life are thousands miles away..my husband and my son. They are everything for me..Amal & Ashmal..

Need them to give me strength..to motivate me to keep going..without them by my side, my life is empty..I really can't wait to be home..

I finally created my blog!!!

I'm not so sure how long this blog is going to last...just giving it a shot..not because that everybody is blogging nowadays..just being thousand miles away from my beloved home motivates me to write...
Plus, Josh..my colleague has always nag us about having a blog..so that we can share stories of each other's life...well for sure, there's a lot of stories to share lately..kan, Josh?
I'll update my blog with better stories (I hope) & pictures later..gotta go now..
